Terms of Service

1. Platform role and limitations

Zipout is a coordination and discovery platform only. Zipout does not create, organise, host, manage, supervise, or participate in any plan listed on the platform. Zipout has no physical presence at any meetup or event arising from use of the platform. All plans are created entirely by users acting independently.

Zipout is not a background-check service, identity-verification service, safety agency, or event organiser. The existence of a plan on Zipout does not constitute any endorsement, recommendation, or guarantee by Zipout.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Zipout. By registering, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If Zipout discovers or reasonably suspects that a user is under 18, the account will be terminated immediately and without notice.

If a parent or guardian discovers that a minor has created an account on Zipout, they should contact us immediately at the support email listed in the app. We will terminate the account and delete associated data promptly upon verification.

3. In-person meetings — your sole responsibility

Plans on Zipout may involve meeting strangers in person. This is the nature of the platform. You acknowledge and accept that:

• Zipout has no presence at, control over, or responsibility for any in-person interaction, meetup, or event that occurs as a result of using the platform.
• You choose to attend any plan entirely at your own risk.
• Zipout cannot and does not guarantee the identity, character, intentions, or conduct of any other user you meet through the platform.
• Any harm, loss, injury, or negative outcome arising from an in-person meeting is not the responsibility of Zipout.
• You are solely responsible for your own safety decisions before, during, and after attending any plan.

4. Identity and verification

Zipout does not verify the real-world identity of users beyond basic account registration (such as Google sign-in). Phone verification, where available, is a trust signal only and does not constitute identity verification. Zipout makes no representation that any user is who they claim to be. You should not assume that any profile is accurate, complete, or trustworthy.

5. User conduct and prohibited use

You agree not to use Zipout to:

• Harass, threaten, stalk, or harm any other user
• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity
• Create plans intended to defraud, exploit, or harm participants
• Solicit money, goods, or services from other users under false pretences
• Organise or promote illegal activities
• Post false, misleading, or deceptive plan information
• Distribute spam, unsolicited messages, or malicious content
• Use the platform if you are a registered sex offender or have been convicted of a violent offence

Violation of any of the above may result in immediate account suspension or permanent ban, at Zipout's sole discretion, with or without notice.

6a. Plan participation and expenses

Zipout does not require, pressure, or encourage any user to join or remain in any plan. Users may leave any plan at any time, for any reason, with no obligation to explain or justify their decision.

Zipout is currently free to use. Zipout charges no subscription fees, membership fees, or commissions of any kind to users or plan hosts.

Any expenses incurred in connection with a plan — including venue costs, activity costs, food, transport, or any other cost — are entirely a matter of mutual agreement between the host and participants. Zipout does not set, mandate, or endorse any expense arrangement.

Zipout provides an optional expense-splitting feature and a UPI payment button as a convenience tool only. This allows participants to pay a host directly via UPI. Zipout does not process, hold, facilitate, or take any commission from these payments. Zipout is not a party to any payment transaction and accepts no responsibility for payment disputes, failed transactions, or misuse of the payment feature.

Any payment made through the UPI feature is made directly between users. If a payment dispute arises, it is between the payer and the recipient — Zipout has no involvement and no liability.

6. User-generated content

You retain ownership of the content you post on Zipout (plans, photos, descriptions, messages). By posting content, you grant Zipout a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, store, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating the platform. Zipout does not claim ownership of your content.

You are solely responsible for the content you post. You represent that your content does not violate any law or third-party rights.

7. Reporting obligation

If you witness or experience behaviour that violates these terms — including harassment, fraud, threats, or unsafe situations — you agree to report it through the platform's reporting tools as soon as reasonably practicable. Zipout will review reports in good faith and may take action at its discretion. Zipout is not obligated to act on every report but will endeavour to address credible safety concerns.

8. Moderation and account termination

Zipout reserves the right to review, remove, or restrict any plan, content, or account at any time, for any reason, without prior notice or liability. This includes but is not limited to accounts that violate these terms, accounts that generate safety complaints, and accounts that Zipout reasonably believes pose a risk to other users or the platform.

Account termination does not entitle you to any refund, compensation, or explanation.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

Zipout is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. Zipout does not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Zipout does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any user profile, plan, or content on the platform.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Zipout and its owner(s) shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the platform, including but not limited to: personal injury or harm arising from in-person meetups, loss of data, financial loss, emotional distress, or any other outcome resulting from interactions with other users on or off the platform.

Your use of Zipout is entirely at your own risk. This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory under which the claim is brought.

11. Law enforcement cooperation

Zipout will cooperate with law enforcement agencies and comply with valid legal requests, including disclosure of account information, where required by applicable law. Users agree that Zipout may share account data (including registration details, activity logs, and reported content) with authorities in response to lawful requests.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of Zipout shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of India.

13. Changes to these terms

Zipout may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. It is your responsibility to review these terms periodically.
