Real plans. Real people.
Safety Guidelines
Last updated: 21 April 2026
Zipout connects people for real-world plans. We provide the platform — your safety decisions are yours to make. Please read this carefully before joining or creating any plan.
Before you join a plan
- Check the host's profile — how long have they been on the platform, do they have a photo, have others joined their plans before.
- Read the plan description carefully. If details are vague or something feels off, trust that feeling.
- Be cautious of hosts who pressure you to meet quickly, message you excessively before the plan, or try to move conversation off the platform to personal numbers or other apps early on. This is a warning sign.
- You are never obligated to respond to messages or meet anyone you feel uncomfortable with. Blocking and reporting costs you nothing.
- Only join plans at public, well-known locations. Avoid plans at private residences or isolated venues, especially for a first meeting.
- Do not join plans that ask you to bring money, make payments, or purchase anything in advance.
- Verify the location independently — look it up on maps, confirm it is a real and accessible public place.
Before you leave home
- Tell a trusted friend or family member where you are going, who you are meeting, and when you expect to return.
- Share your live location with someone you trust for the duration of the plan.
- Keep your phone charged and with you at all times.
- Have a personal exit plan — know how you will get home independently, do not rely on someone you just met for a ride.
- Avoid sharing your exact home address or personal contact details before meeting someone in person.
While attending
- Meet in the public location stated in the plan. If the location has changed to somewhere private, you are not obligated to go.
- Trust your instincts. If something makes you uncomfortable, leave. You do not need a reason.
- Do not feel pressured to stay longer than you want to.
- Do not accept rides, accommodation, or significant favours from people you have just met.
- Do not consume food or drinks that you did not personally purchase or that were left unattended.
- Check in with your trusted contact during the plan if it runs long.
Personal information and money
- Never send money to another user — for any reason, no matter how convincing the explanation.
- Do not share sensitive personal information such as your home address, financial details, workplace, or ID documents with other users.
- Be cautious of users who try to move communication off the platform quickly or ask for personal contact details early.
- No legitimate plan on Zipout requires payment to join.
- Zipout does not charge any fee to join or host plans. If anyone on the platform asks you to pay a fee to Zipout or claims to represent Zipout while asking for money, it is fraud — report it immediately.
- Any plan expenses (food, venue, activities) are agreed between you and the host directly. You are never obligated to pay for anything you did not agree to upfront.
- The UPI payment feature is optional and purely for convenience. Only use it to split costs you have already agreed to. Never pay in advance for plans you have not yet attended.
- You may leave any plan at any time without explanation. No host or participant can obligate you to stay or to pay for something after you have left.
Reporting and blocking
- Use the report feature for any user or plan that seems unsafe, fraudulent, or in violation of community standards.
- Block users who harass, threaten, or make you uncomfortable.
- If you experience or witness something dangerous, contact local emergency services first. Then report it on Zipout.
- Reports are reviewed by Zipout. Action may include plan removal, account suspension, or cooperation with law enforcement.
Creating plans responsibly
- Only create plans you genuinely intend to host. Misleading or fake plans are prohibited and may result in account termination.
- Choose public, accessible, and clearly described locations.
- Be honest about what the plan involves — activities, duration, number of expected participants.
- You are responsible for ensuring your plan does not involve illegal activities or put participants at risk.
What Zipout cannot do
We want to be honest with you. Zipout cannot verify the identity or real-world intentions of every user. We cannot be present at meetups. We cannot guarantee that every person you meet through Zipout is safe. No platform can. What we can do is provide tools to report bad actors, remove harmful content, and cooperate with authorities when required. The rest is in your hands — and we trust you to make thoughtful decisions.
Emergency contacts
- Police: 100
- Women's helpline: 1091
- Emergency services: 112
If you are in immediate danger, call emergency services. Do not wait to report on the app first.
Your safety matters. Zipout is a platform — what you do with it is your responsibility. Please use it thoughtfully.
